can anyone tell me what the RPM's should read at idle stopped on a 99 600 carb? the rpms move up and down and sometimes the sled stalls after stopping for a min or to..it idles at 2500- 3500 (it moves up and down) .....this is my wifes sled...she wants it fixed...funds are low.....the trottle cable was adjusted....what else should I look at??? is it the carbs??? an electrical component? the jets? any tips would be helpful....Thanks

Carbs out of sync or dirty. Needle seats too high

stuck choke

air leak (carb boots torn, broken reed, crank bearings)

2500-3500 seems awful high for idle, but then again I don't own a cat so I'm not 100% sure.

thanks for the input....I'll probably start with the carbs....boot is fine....not sure about the reeds.....as for the crank bearings??

idle should be around 1500rpm
